About the role

Key responsibilities & impact

Lead and develop multidisciplinary Backend and Mobile/Web teams, conducting one-on-ones, individual development plans (IDPs), performance reviews and talent retention initiatives.
Translate and cascade the company's strategic plans to the team, ensuring alignment between technical direction and business objectives.
Ensure delivery of end-to-end solutions, from the in-app experience to the robustness of backend services.
Work in partnership with Product Managers, Product Designers and other leaders.
Facilitate communication between technical teams and business areas, ensuring transparency, timeline visibility and aligned expectations.
Promote psychological safety, collaboration and continuous feedback, acting as an ambassador of Stone's culture.
Drive the professional growth of direct reports and foster continuous learning and technical excellence.

Requirements

What you’ll need

Previous experience leading/managing technology teams
Technical background in software development
Ability to lead architecture discussions across Mobile (Kotlin/Android/iOS), Web (React/Next.js) and Backend (.NET, APIs, microservices, Event Sourcing and event-driven architectures)
Experience with scalable, integrated and high-availability systems
Clear communication, empathy and emotional intelligence for conflict management and career development of engineers across different specialties
