About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Effectively manage your own caseload of family matters with appropriate supervision and support, including financial remedy cases and privately funded children work such as living arrangements and specific issue applications.
- Attending to clients of the firm in person and remotely, providing clear, practical advice with sensitivity and professionalism.
- Drafting court documents, financial disclosure, statements and legal research in line with the Family Procedure Rules and best practice.
- Supporting business development and contributing to marketing activities to build client relationships and promote the Family team’s expertise.
- Communicating promptly and effectively with colleagues, clients and external professionals including counsel and experts.
- Attending and contributing to team meetings and matter strategy discussions.
- Carrying out work to the highest standard in line with the firm’s procedures, technical expectations and core values.
- Working in a collegiate and collaborative way within the immediate team and across the wider firm.
- Maintaining continuing professional development and building technical expertise across financial and children law matters.
Requirements
What you’ll need- Experience of managing or supporting a caseload of family matters, with an interest in financial remedy work and privately funded children cases
- Strong drafting skills with the ability to prepare clear and accurate court documents, financial disclosure and client correspondence in line with the Family Procedure Rules
- Confident communication skills, with the ability to take detailed instructions and provide a professional and empathetic service to clients
- Excellent interpersonal skills when working with colleagues, counsel and external professionals
- Ability to manage competing priorities effectively, demonstrating resilience and a proactive approach to meeting deadlines
- Strong organisational and time management skills, with a high level of attention to detail, particularly in relation to financial information and case preparation

- - Experience of working with high-net-worth clients or exposure to complex asset profiles.
