About the role

Key responsibilities & impact

Lead and develop multidisciplinary Backend and Mobile/Web teams, conducting one-on-one meetings (1:1s), individual development plans (IDPs), performance evaluations and talent retention.
Translate and cascade the company's strategic plans to the team, ensuring alignment between technical direction and business objectives.
Ensure delivery of complete, scalable solutions—from the app experience to the robustness of backend services.
Work in partnership with Product Managers, Product Designers and other leaders.
Facilitate communication between technical teams and business areas, ensuring transparency, timeline visibility and alignment of expectations.
Promote psychological safety, collaboration and continuous feedback, acting as an ambassador of Stone’s culture.
Connect technical goals to the business’s strategic objectives.
Drive the professional growth of direct reports and foster continuous learning and technical excellence.

Requirements

What you’ll need

Previous experience leading/managing technology teams.
Technical background in software development.
Ability to guide architecture discussions for Mobile (Kotlin/Android/iOS), Web (React/Next.js) and Backend (.NET, APIs, microservices, event-sourcing, event-driven architectures).
Experience working with scalable, integrated, high-availability systems.
Clear communication, empathy and emotional intelligence to manage conflicts and support career development for engineers with diverse specialties.
