About the role

  • Provide technical leadership for modeling and analytics projects from conception through production deployment, ensuring technical quality and alignment with business objectives;
  • Define and promote best practices for feature engineering, feature architecture, and data structuring, raising the team's technical standards;
  • Analyze data to generate strategic insights across different business areas, identifying growth opportunities and emerging risks and translating findings into concrete decisions;
  • Develop, implement, and validate machine learning models and tools — such as scoring, propensity, churn, and segmentation models — serving as the technical reference for the team in selecting approaches and methodologies.

Requirements

  • Proficiency in Python and its data science libraries, as well as SQL and PySpark;
  • Strong foundation in statistics and machine learning, with the ability to select, justify, and document the best approach for each business problem;
  • Hands-on experience developing predictive features from structured and unstructured sources, including transactional and alternative data;
  • Experience with predictive modeling projects in high-scale, complex environments — including classification, regression, ranking, or optimization;
  • Solid experience with the Databricks platform;
  • Excellent communication skills to discuss complex results and influence decision-making with business and technology stakeholders.
