About the role
- Manage administration, operation, and troubleshooting of networks in large on-premises data centers
- Plan, design, and execute high-complexity network infrastructure projects
- Create, maintain, and document improvements for the environment
- Automate processes and configuration management
- Support the team with day-to-day tasks
- Review change procedures from a technical perspective
- Implement and document connectivity architectures, including LAN, WAN, SAN, and network security.
Requirements
- Proven experience leading large and complex connectivity and networking projects from a technical standpoint
- Extensive experience with data center networking technologies, including high-availability switching and routing (Cisco Nexus, Catalyst, Arista, Juniper)
- Advanced knowledge of network protocols such as BGP, OSPF, VXLAN, VPN, MPLS, and QoS
- Experience with load balancers and application proxies (F5 Big-IP, HAProxy, NGINX)
- Experience with firewall and perimeter security solutions (Cisco ASA/Firepower, Palo Alto, Fortinet)
- Experience with network monitoring and observability solutions (Zabbix, PRTG, SolarWinds, ThousandEyes)
