About the role
- You will lead the automation and optimization of operational processes for Stone's Banking team.
- Your mission begins by gaining a deep understanding of the current ("AS IS") state of processes, and then developing and implementing automations aimed at improving efficiency, reducing costs, and mitigating risks.
- To achieve these goals you will use both code-based tools such as Python and SQL and no-/low-code platforms (Google Sheets, Apps Script, Zapier, etc.).
- You will be responsible for creating operational processes for new products and features, always pursuing immediate automation.
- Lead continuous improvement projects for existing automations, including implementing integrations with REST APIs.
- Create and maintain process and code documentation, following governance best practices (GitHub, CI/CD), and contribute to the preparation of analytical reports and dashboards on operational metrics.
Requirements
- Be a critical and inquisitive person. Always look at an existing process with the aim of automating it and reducing the need for repetitive manual work — you will have room to do so.
- Applied knowledge of data analysis tools such as SQL (BigQuery), Looker Studio, Metabase, programming in Python (focus on RPA), and advanced Excel.
- Strong interpersonal skills and communication with internal and external stakeholders.
- Ownership mindset; be part of the mission to scale Banking products in a solid and sustainable way.
- Analytical profile: proactively diagnose root causes of issues, measure the impact of each on business outcomes, and contribute to building more robust analyses with the data teams.
- Hands-on: not afraid to solve problems and perform operational tasks.
- Ability to dive into each detail of processes, understanding all systems and micro-steps involved.
- Ability to understand and evolve legacy code, since this role will continue an existing process automation pipeline.
- Be the technical reference for the Banking Processes team (10 people). Be able to share knowledge clearly and simply to reinforce a culture of automation and continuous improvement within the team.
