About the role

Key responsibilities & impact
  • Support some of the firm’s most active industries and practices with go-to-market strategy including pitches and proposals, conferences, events, sponsorships and memberships.
  • Maintain and curate representative matter and experience data; proactively identify opportunities to update marketing materials, practice descriptions, and attorney biographies.
  • Coordinate pitch and RFP responses including identifying relevant experience, drafting and editing content, conducting internal information gathering, assembling submission materials, coordinating deadlines.
  • Conduct market, client, competitor and industry research to support pitches and proposals, strategic planning efforts, business development initiatives, and attorney preparation for client meetings.
  • Support events, sponsorships, and client engagement plans designed to enhance attorney visibility, strengthen client relationships, and support business development objectives.
  • Develop and maintain relationships with industry associations to identify sponsorship, speaking and leadership opportunities for attorneys.
  • Collaborate with the Marketing Operations team on social media posts and promotion of sponsored events and speaking engagements.
  • Provide administrative support to the BD Manager, including scheduling internal industry group meetings and tracking action items.

Requirements

What you’ll need
  • Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Communications or Business-related areas or equivalent on the job experience
  • Minimum 3-5 years business development or marketing communications experience, preferably within a law firm environment.
  • Strong judgment, initiative, and problem solving skills.
  • Exceptional attention to detail and commitment to producing high-quality work product.
  • Strong written, verbal, and interpersonal communication skills.
  • Ability to build credibility and establish productive relationships across offices and practice and industry groups.
  • Knowledge and proficiency with Microsoft Word, Outlook, Excel and PowerPoint required.
  • Experience working with CRM, experience management, and marketing technology platforms such as Foundation and InterAction.
