About the role

  • manage, mentor, and inspire a team of engineers, fostering a culture of collaboration, innovation, and growth by challenging them to do their best work.
  • define priorities and deliverables for projects that optimize fulfilment systems, ensuring alignment with business goals.
  • partner with product managers, operations, and algorithms teams to continuously improve fulfillment processes and customer delivery experiences.
  • ensure system reliability, scalability, and performance, minimizing disruptions to daily operations.
  • drive initiatives to modernize fulfillment systems, improve workflows, and reduce inefficiencies.
  • act as a key point of contact for stakeholders, providing updates on team progress, challenges, and milestones.
  • find, hire, and develop people that complement each other as a diverse, inclusive team.
  • facilitate technical design discussions, remove blockers and align stakeholders.
  • inspire an atmosphere of continuous improvement by serving as a coach, mentor, and technical advisor.

Requirements

  • experience with warehouse management systems, order management systems, transportation management systems, distribution center software, or similar solutions.
  • 3+ years of experience building and scaling real-time solutions, including 1-2+ years managing high-performing engineering teams.
  • experience leading distributed teams across multiple time zones is a strong plus.
  • proven track record of delivering impactful, customer-focused solutions aligned with business objectives.
  • extensive hands-on experience with one of the widely used programming languages, such as Golang, Java, or similar.
  • passionate about mentoring team members and supporting their professional growth.
  • prioritize clear, honest communication and build strong, collaborative teams based on trust and autonomy.
  • flexible, pragmatic, and committed to building high-quality solutions that meet user needs.
  • experience refining development processes to improve team efficiency and outcomes.
