About the role
- Design, implement, and validate improvements to the way inventory surfaces to clients, improving matching of finite assortment to client demand
- Use decision-modeling frameworks such as simulations, optimization models, and A/B testing to assess outcomes and guide decision-making
- Build tools and dashboards to support data-driven decision-making and empower non-technical stakeholders
- Build key relationships with stakeholders across product, engineering, finance, and operations
- Identify unaddressed problems and propose improved solutions
- Work with small agile team and with the larger Algorithms team to deliver impact
Requirements
- Proficiency in Python
- Experience with machine learning frameworks such as scikit-learn, statsmodels and other explainable predictive algorithms
- Comfortable with SQL and experience working with large datasets to gather insights
- Understanding of statistical principles and how to apply them to data and experimental results
- Familiarity with data visualization tools such as matplotlib, seaborn, looker
- Team player, able to balance time against multiple systems and work streams
- Drive for resiliency and principled approach to complexity
