About the role

Key responsibilities & impact
  • Support business development activities across Aerospace, Marine, Pilot Controls and Simulation sectors
  • Build and maintain relationships with existing and prospective customers
  • Identify and qualify new business opportunities through market research, customer engagement, and industry networking
  • Support strategic account management activities and customer growth plans
  • Assist with business development campaigns, customer visits, exhibitions, conferences, and industry events
  • Work with technical and commercial teams to develop customer solutions and proposals
  • Maintain accurate sales pipeline and customer information within CRM systems
  • Monitor market trends, competitor activity, and emerging technologies to identify future opportunities
  • Represent Stirling Dynamics professionally as a business ambassador in the UK and internationally
  • Contribute to the company's growth objectives while developing toward more senior Business Development positions

Requirements

What you’ll need
  • Demonstrable experience in a business development, sales, account management, marketing, or customer-facing commercial role (Essential)
  • Experience using CRM systems and producing business reports (Essential)
  • Strong communication, relationship-building, and stakeholder engagement skills
  • Commercial awareness and interest in identifying and developing business opportunities
  • Highly motivated, proactive, and organised approach to work
  • Ability to work collaboratively across technical and commercial teams
  • Good presentation and interpersonal skills
  • Interest in engineering, technology, aerospace, marine, or defence-related industries
  • Willingness to travel within the UK and internationally when required
  • Knowledge of strategic account management principles
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications
  • Understanding of customer procurement processes and sales lifecycles
  • Experience in aerospace, defence, marine, or engineering sectors (Desirable)
  • Experience supporting bid activities, proposals, or customer solution development (Desirable)
  • Experience attending or supporting trade shows, exhibitions, or industry events (Desirable)
  • Must be eligible to obtain UK Security Clearance (SC)
