About the role
- You will develop a high-performing, data-driven performance marketing strategy across all digital channels (SEO, SEA, social media, email, display) for one of Berlin’s largest cultural institutions.
- You will plan and manage campaigns with a strong commercial focus — efficiently, KPI-oriented and closely aligned with department leadership.
- You will be responsible for budgeting, ad management and the continuous optimization of targeting, creatives and campaign structures.
- You will run regular A/B tests and derive concrete optimization measures from the results.
- You will maintain close communication with internal and external teams and coordinate with ticketing/sales and B2B partners.
- You will develop editorial and campaign plans that enable targeted communication and high conversion.
- You will monitor reach, engagement, clicks, conversions and other KPIs — and present all relevant metrics clearly for reports, presentations and strategic decisions.
- You will regularly benchmark against other (cultural) institutions and identify optimization opportunities early on.
Requirements
- Ideally 5+ years of professional experience in digital or performance marketing, preferably with exposure to culture or live entertainment.
- Enthusiasm for opera, musical theatre and culture in general.
- Analytical thinking, strategic planning skills and a passion for data-driven concepts and decision-making.
- Experience with SEO/SEA, CRM systems, analytics tools, conversion optimization and marketing automation.
- A keen sense for creatives, copywriting, storytelling and digital trends.
- A structured, reliable way of working — even when handling multiple concurrent projects — and enjoyment of teamwork as well as taking ownership.
- Very good German and English skills.
- Willingness to work flexible hours — because our performances take place live!
Benefits
- A modern workplace in the heart of Berlin, in the cultural center of the capital — well connected, urban and inspiring.
- A responsible role in an internationally renowned opera house, organizationally embedded in Deutsche Oper Berlin Vermarktungs GmbH.
- An engaged, interdisciplinary team and room for your own ideas to further develop our digital strategy.
- Competitive compensation and a BVG public transport ticket.
- 30 days of annual leave, preferably to be taken during theatre breaks.
- Access to rehearsals and performances within the scope of work-related possibilities.
