About the role

Key responsibilities & impact

Build controlling: establish a KPI scorecard and a single source of truth, monitor ongoing run rate, manage budget planning and a rolling forecast with scenarios
KPI management: develop a dashboard with relevant metrics (CAC, MER, advertising cost ratio, contribution margin after advertising)
Liquidity & cash: implement a rolling 13-week cash plan and plan pre-financing for international production
Assortment & margins: identify fast movers and slow-moving stock, calculate bundles, determine contribution margin per item and variant
Purchasing & supply chain: oversee ERP purchasing, cost new products (landed cost, duties, MOQ), renegotiate supplier terms, prepare make-or-buy and investment analyses
Costs & partners: review payment terms, service providers and agencies using financial data
Drive special projects: commercially support international production, new product lines and investment decisions
Report directly to the Executive Management and act as the primary point of contact for commercial/financial questions

Requirements

What you’ll need

Degree or commercial training in business administration, finance or controlling, or equivalent
Solid controlling/finance experience, ideally in e-commerce or retail with physical goods
Strong numerical and analytical skills
Confident user of Excel/Google Sheets and a BI tool (Power BI or Looker Studio)
Experience with forecasting, liquidity planning, contribution margin/margin accounting and inventory data
Ability to independently drive commercial/financial projects
Fluent in German; English is a plus
Hands-on mentality, pragmatic and committed to seeing tasks through to completion
