About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- You independently source the best talent on LinkedIn and other channels for Product, Engineering, AI Success, Marketing, and Sales.
- You lead the entire interview process and convince top candidates that SelectCode is the right place for them.
- You build structured, scalable onboarding processes: new team members should be productive from day one, feel well integrated immediately, and be set up to grow quickly.
- You think strategically: Which skills do we need in which teams? How can we become more efficient through smart tools and processes?
- You conduct feedback and development conversations to ensure our people continue to grow.
- You strengthen our culture — witty, energetic, authentic — by organizing team events and bringing in new ideas.
- You handle the basics — leave requests, preparatory payroll tasks, etc. — but we are automating these step by step. This will remain a minimal part of your work.
Requirements
What you’ll need- You have built sub-teams (e.g., grown a team from 1 to 5 people) and know what it takes to make onboarding and scaling work.
- You have owned recruiting processes end-to-end — not just coordinated them, but managed them and conducted interviews yourself.
- You adapt quickly to new situations and stay organized even with shifting priorities.
- You have a good sense for who fits with us — both technically AND culturally — and can excite candidates about our vision.
- You work AI-first: you use ChatGPT & Co. thoughtfully and pragmatically in your day-to-day, have implemented use cases, and are always looking for optimization opportunities.
- You communicate fluently and clearly in German and English.
- Experience guideline: 3–5 years of relevant HR experience — but if you can do the things described above and are eager to take on responsibility, that matters more than the number of years.
