About the role
- Preparatory accounting: collect receipts/documents, sort them digitally and prepare them for the tax/accounting firm (e.g. via DATEV).
- Work with external accounting/payroll: clarify open items, keep master data and absences up to date.
- Back-office organization: cloud-based digital filing, maintaining Excel overviews (including vacation) as well as mail and email management.
- Administrative support for management in day-to-day operations (e.g. scheduling, preparing documents and materials).
- Light recruiting support: posting job ads online, pre-screening applications, coordinating interviews.
Requirements
- Commercial apprenticeship or equivalent experience in back office, office management or as an assistant; ideally you have experience in tax/accounting.
- Confident user of MS Office/Google Workspace, especially Excel; initial experience with preparatory accounting or DATEV is a plus but not required.
- Very structured, meticulous and reliable way of working; enjoyment of numbers, lists and orderly documentation.
- Strong communication skills, eager to learn and pragmatic – you enjoy liaising with the tax firm, external agencies and founders, and you ask questions when things are unclear.
- Good written and spoken German and willingness to be on-site a few days per month in the Monheim area.
