About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Conduct assessments measuring conformity to regulatory, industry, and proprietary brand standards
- Observe food preparation and cooking standards for food safety, health, and sanitation
- Partner with clients to address root causes of assessment discrepancies and develop corrective action plans
- Teach and coach clients to create safer and healthier workplaces
- Conduct audits and inspections
- Implement and monitor food safety practices
- Train and educate staff
- Investigate food safety incidents
- Ensure compliance with regulations
- Maintain documentation and records
- Travel 50%-70%, or 8-10 days per month, including some evening and weekend work
Requirements
What you’ll need- Meet the requirements to obtain a CP-FS certification
- Available to work Monday-Friday, Saturdays, and evenings as needed
- Must possess a valid driver’s license from state of residence
- Licenses/certificates as required by federal, state, and/or local regulations
- Strong technical knowledge of food safety is preferred
- Strong knowledge of food safety is preferred
- ServSafe and/or CP-FS certifications are a plus
- Excellent listening, organization, communication, and time management skills
- Ability and desire to influence others with tact and skill
- Ability to provide clear and constructive feedback positively
- Ability to thrive in an autonomous working environment
- Ability to work a flexible schedule
- Ability to organize and prioritize work based on urgency, efficiency, and other factors
