About the role
- Responsible for the overall plant, administration and transportation operations, along with the financial results of one or more location(s) within a district
- In conjunction with the Sales, Customer Service, Accounting and Safety, and Environmental groups, ensure that all regulatory compliance and safety issues are addressed
- Monitor, coach, counsel, and promote employees, as needed
- Ensure that operational and customer related functions are completed timely, accurate and sufficiently to meet standards
- Review, analyze, approve, and/or submit payroll registers and expense reports
- Ensure continuous improvement of team member safety performance
Requirements
- Bachelors or equivalent
- 5+ years of experience in Logistics/Regulated Waste/Recycling/Plant Processing Operations
- 3+ year of management experience
- Demonstrates the ability to lead a team of employees to achieve safety, financial and customer service results through building a culture of excellence
- Demonstrates knowledge and the ability to stay abreast of applicable regulations and codes, as they apply to the waste industry and those specific to area of responsibility
- Demonstrates the ability to manage within an established budget as well as strong knowledge of budgetary processes, P&L statements, asset management, and project management
- Demonstrates sound knowledge of Microsoft Office including Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook.
