About the role

  • Ensure compliance with and enforcement of site safety standards and specific procedures
  • Supervise receiving, storage, unloading/decanting and shipping activities (bulk & packaged)
  • Coordinate logistical flows with Production, Planning & Procurement, Maintenance and Quality
  • Ensure continuity of logistics processes for both bulk and packaged operations, in close cooperation with Planning & Procurement, Production and Maintenance
  • Ensure optimal inventory management using Lean logistics tools (Kanban, min/max stock levels, KPIs…)
  • Manage inventories and ensure their accuracy
  • Lead a team of 15 employees (unloading, warehouse staff, supervisors) and drive daily performance
  • Maintain a strong on-site presence to coach, train and support teams

Requirements

  • Diploma required in Logistics or Supply Chain – minimum of a 2–3 year post-secondary qualification (Bac+2/3 or equivalent)
  • At least 5 years’ experience managing operational teams in an industrial environment, ideally in the chemical industry or on a SEVESO-classified site
  • Proven experience in demanding logistics environments, warehouses or process industries (chemicals, food, pulp & paper…)
  • Proficiency in transport and dangerous goods regulations (ADR / IMDG / customs)
  • Strong skills in operational logistics, inventory management and data analysis (KPIs)
  • Knowledge of logistics IT systems: SAP, WMS, barcode systems, TMS
  • Proficient in English – intermediate level (spoken and written)
