About the role

Key responsibilities & impact
  • Own and scale Step's affiliate program on Impact and other relevant networks, recruiting and onboarding partners and optimizing commissions, placements, and incentives to improve CAC
  • Build, launch, and scale the affiliate creator program
  • Negotiate pricing, payout terms, and deal parameters, and manage contract reviews, approvals, execution, and records
  • Build and manage direct partnerships outside affiliate networks from outreach through negotiation, program design, and ongoing management
  • Develop Step's presence in emerging distribution channels, including AI-driven discovery and recommendation surfaces
  • Manage longer-term direct partnerships with creators and influencers, including relationships, deliverables, and performance
  • Own invoicing, budget management, invoice approvals, payout reconciliation, and spend tracking
  • Build and maintain partner tracking setups, attribution data, and QA processes
  • Lead creative development and approval for brand and regulatory compliance, monitor FTC violations and off-brand activity, and partner with legal on financial-product marketing claims
  • Report program performance and translate partner-level data into recommendations for the growth team

Requirements

What you’ll need
  • 4+ years of experience managing affiliate or partner marketing programs, ideally at a consumer app, fintech, or growth-stage startup
  • Hands-on experience with Impact or a comparable affiliate network, including program setup, partner onboarding, tracking configuration, and commission management
  • Experience building direct partnership programs from scratch, negotiating deal structures, and executing contracts
  • Experience owning program financials, budget tracking, invoice approvals, and payout reconciliation
  • Strong understanding of affiliate and partnership tracking mechanics, including link attribution, postback setups, pixel-based tracking, and MMP integrations
  • Hands-on experience conducting tracking QA and resolving attribution issues
  • Experience with AppsFlyer or a comparable MMP is a plus; familiarity with GA4 is a plus
  • Experience managing creative development and approval workflows, brand standards, FTC disclosure rules, and financial marketing compliance
  • Familiarity with creator and influencer partnership models
  • Ability to manage partners from independent creators to large media companies and manage high volumes of partners, contracts, and projects
  • Bachelor's degree or an equivalent combination of education, training, and experience
