About the role
- Build and maintain backend components in Python on AWS, including integrations and orchestration layers
- Support outcomes for the Data Marketplace: onboard providers, implement versioning strategies, and reduce time-to-new-integration
- Follow and apply integration standards: work with API contracts/SDKs, resilience patterns (idempotency, retries, backoff), and operational guardrails
- Collaborate on projects from discovery to production: participate in RFCs, validate with prototypes, align stakeholders, and contribute to launches
- Improve reliability and performance: support SLOs, instrumentation (tracing/metrics/logging), dashboards, and runbooks; reduce latency and MTTR
- Grow with mentorship: participate in design reviews, pair programming, and documentation efforts
- Collaborate cross-functionally with Product, Security, and Customer teams; join daily syncs, planning, demos, and deep-dives
Requirements
- Option to work from either Berlin HQ or the Iasi hub (Taktile will not cover relocation)
- Fluency in English, both written and spoken
- Strong foundational knowledge in computer science or software engineering
- Passion for simplicity, quality, and ownership
- Hands-on experience programming in Python (coursework, projects, or internships)
- Exposure to public cloud environments (AWS preferred)
- Exposure to serverless and event-driven architectures (ideal)
- Basic observability practices (tracing, metrics, structured logging) (ideal)
- Familiarity with AI-assisted development and code generation (ideal)
- Fintech domain exposure (KYC, credit bureaus, fraud-prevention APIs) (ideal)
