About the role

  • Build and maintain backend components in Python on AWS—from integrations to orchestration layers—while learning best practices in code quality, testing, and keeping CI/CD fast and reliable.
  • Support outcomes for the Data Marketplace: help onboard providers, implement versioning strategies, and contribute to efforts that reduce time-to-new-integration while maintaining reliability and cost-effectiveness.
  • Follow and apply integration standards: learn to work with API contracts/SDKs, resilience patterns (idempotency, retries, backoff), and operational guardrails that scale to millions of daily decisions.
  • Collaborate on projects from discovery to production launch—participating in RFCs, validating with prototypes, aligning stakeholders, and contributing to changes with observable impact.
  • Improve reliability and performance: support SLOs, instrumentation (tracing/metrics/logging), dashboards, and runbooks while gaining hands-on experience in reducing latency and improving MTTR.
  • Grow with mentorship: participate in design reviews, pair programming, and documentation efforts while learning from senior engineers.
  • Collaborate in the open: join daily syncs, planning, demos, and deep-dives; work with Product, Security, and Customer teams to turn real-world needs into simple, robust solutions.

Requirements

  • Hands-on experience programming in Python (through coursework, projects, or internships).
  • Exposure to public cloud environments (AWS preferred).
  • Fluency in English, both written and spoken, is essential as we operate in a hybrid environment requiring clear and effective communication.
  • Strong foundational knowledge in computer science or software engineering and a passion for simplicity, quality, and ownership.
  • Ideal, but not required: Exposure to serverless and event-driven architectures (e.g., Lambda, queues, streams).
  • Ideal, but not required: Basic observability practices (tracing, metrics, structured logging).
  • Ideal, but not required: Familiarity with AI-assisted development and code generation.
  • Ideal, but not required: Fintech domain exposure (KYC, credit bureaus, fraud-prevention APIs).
  • Ideal, but not required: Experience with internships, personal projects, or open-source contributions in backend development.
Benefits
  • Work with colleagues that lift you up, challenge you, celebrate you, and help you grow.
  • Experience a truly flat hierarchy and communicate directly with founding team members.
  • Learn from experienced mentors and achieve tremendous personal and professional growth.
  • Get to know and leverage our network of leading tech investors and advisors around the globe.
  • Receive a top-of-market equity and cash compensation package.
