Key responsibilities & impact

Support right-of-way acquisition, land leasing, permitting, and construction support for oil and gas, wind, solar, and transmission areas
Establish trust between client and landowner
Make independent decisions with landowners and project stakeholders
Coordinate meetings with landowners and stakeholders
Negotiate and secure fee titles, easements, leases, and permits
Estimate areas of potential damage in advance of construction
Explain project scope, timelines, processes, and financial agreements
Provide regular status reports on land acquisition and permitting tasks
Prepare necessary documents and forms for the project
Represent the company at public meetings before governmental agencies

Requirements

What you’ll need

1-3 years of experience in reviewing title work, landowner acquisition, and real estate related tasks
Understanding of local, state, and federal statutory requirements for land acquisitions
Attention to detail
Ability to perform legal document search and title review
Licensed Wisconsin & Minnesota Real Estate Agent (or willingness to get licensed)
Competent with Microsoft Office software
Solid understanding of ArcGIS software and Google Earth
Ability to prioritize and organize work to meet deadlines
Current valid driver’s license with a personal vehicle suitable for field work (mileage is reimbursed)
