About the role

  • **Overall Job Purpose**:
  • As an Underwriting Assistant, you will be responsible for aiding the underwriting team in the daily operations of the syndicate. You will work closely with other members of the team and provide support in various underwriting and administrative tasks.

Requirements

  • **Person Specification:**
  • - Bachelor’s degree in business, finance, law, or maritime studies (preferred but not essential
  • - Previous experience in marine insurance or underwriting is advantageous, though not required
  • - Strong proficiency in Microsoft Office and confidence working with databases
  • - Demonstrated experience in administrative roles with a solid understanding of office procedures
  • - Exceptional interpersonal and communication abilities, with the capacity to build effective, collaborative relationships across teams
  • - Consistently displays professionalism, discretion, and integrity
  • - Strong analytical and problem‑solving skills, with a proactive and solutions‑oriented mindset
  • - Eagerness to learn, develop, and contribute positively to the organisation
  • - Full fluency in Greek and English, with excellent written and verbal communication skills in both languages, essential for effective collaboration with internal teams and external stakeholders
