About the role

  • Manage end-to-end state licensure applications, renewals, and amendments for physicians and APPs across multiple jurisdictions.
  • Interpret and apply state-specific licensing laws, scope of practice rules, and supervision requirements.
  • Serve as a point of escalation for complex or high-risk licensing cases.
  • Oversee Collaborative Practice Agreements (CPAs), including preparation, submission, tracking, and renewals in accordance with state regulations.
  • Coordinate and maintain supervision match assignments between supervising physicians and NPs/PAs, ensuring compliance with state-mandated ratios, geographic rules, and specialty alignment.
  • Partner with clinical and operational teams to resolve supervision coverage gaps and reassignment needs.
  • Maintain accurate, audit-ready supervision and CPA documentation.
  • Provide guidance, mentorship, and technical support to licensing team members.
  • Review licensing applications and documentation for accuracy and compliance prior to submission as needed.
  • Support workload prioritization to meet turnaround time and business goals.
  • Work closely with Credentialing, Provider Enrollment, Clinical Operations, HR, and Finance teams to support provider onboarding and ongoing compliance.
  • Contribute to reporting, dashboards, and metrics related to licensing volume, CPA counts, and supervision assignments.
  • Assist with audits, regulatory inquiries, and process improvement initiatives.
  • Additional duties as assigned

Requirements

  • 3+ years of experience in provider licensing, credentialing, or healthcare regulatory compliance.
  • Strong knowledge of physician and APP licensure across multiple states.
  • Demonstrated experience with Collaborative Practice Agreements (CPAs) and supervision match assignment.
  • Proven ability to interpret and operationalize complex state regulations.
  • Excellent attention to detail, organizational skills, and written communication abilities.
  • Prior experience in a lead or senior analyst role.
  • Experience supporting telehealth or multi-state provider populations.
  • Familiarity with licensing management systems (e.g., Modio, Acorn, Verifiable or similar platforms).
