About the role

Key responsibilities & impact

Support and mature client environments, including semi-remote regional sites
Work primarily from home while travelling regularly to client sites across regional Victoria
Own complex issues end to end
Document work as it progresses and improve the standard of client environments
Administer Microsoft 365 and identity services, including Exchange Online, SharePoint, Teams, OneDrive, and Microsoft Entra
Provision, manage compliance, and handle patching and lifecycle management for Microsoft Intune endpoints
Troubleshoot Cisco Meraki networking, WiFi authentication, staff/contractor segmentation, SD-WAN, SASE-aligned connectivity, VPN, DNS/DHCP, and wireless systems
Manage security tooling including Microsoft Defender EDR, firewalls, web filtering, VPN, ACSC Essential Eight alignment, and monitoring/alerting
Support Microsoft Teams telephony on the company voice platform
Manage infrastructure and Microsoft 365 backup and recovery, including tested recovery
Use Autotask, N-able N-central, IT Glue, CIPP, Microsoft Intune and Entra, and Cisco Meraki dashboard

Requirements

What you’ll need

5+ years in an MSP environment at a senior / Level 2-3 standard
Deep hands-on Microsoft 365, Entra, and Intune administration
Strong networking and connectivity troubleshooting, including Meraki, SD-WAN/VPN, DNS/DHCP, wireless, and multi-site environments
Methodical, documentation-first approach
Calm ownership of complex escalations
Excellent communication and ability to explain technical issues clearly to non-technical users
Comfortable working remotely and self-directed
Flexibility to attend client sites or the office when needed
Current Australian driver's licence
Full Australian working rights
Based in regional Victoria
Nice to have: experience supporting mining, resources, or other regional/industrial sites
Nice to have: Microsoft certifications such as MS-102, AZ-900, or SC-900 and/or Cisco Meraki accreditation
Nice to have: Fortinet/FortiGate firewall experience
Nice to have: SASE/SD-WAN, Starlink/cellular failover, Essential Eight uplift, or SOC/MDR exposure
Nice to have: backup/DR and quarterly restore-testing experience
