About the role

  • Take full ownership of a product area and drive execution, delivering comprehensive end-to-end solutions that define product vision
  • Own meaningful surfaces within Statsig’s core Experimentation, Feature Flagging, and Analytics products
  • Partner closely with Product and Engineering teams, providing direction and defining goals for your product area
  • Mentor and coach other designers; contribute to recruiting, design system standards, and team culture
  • Establish goals, track and measure metrics, and keep your team accountable on deliverables
  • Up-level folks around you, with a relentless focus on doing what’s right for the company and product

Requirements

  • 5+ years of product design experience
  • Ability to work in a full-time, in-office (5-days a week) role in Bellevue, WA
  • Ability to be on-site five days a week (non-negotiable requirement)
  • Strong experience in cross-functional collaboration, particularly with product and engineering teams
  • Excellent communication and presentation skills
  • Execution oriented: Assertive, eager, constantly pushing for better ways to do things
  • Curious & open minded: Wants to deeply understand the product, the team, and our vision
  • High bar: Sets and holds a very high bar for team mates
  • Thrives with complexity: Loves designing simple solutions for complex problem spaces
  • Driver mentality: Don’t wait to be told what to do but can unblock yourself, partner with Product & Eng to drive solutions, and generally thrive in ambiguity
  • Data oriented: Wants to understand our product’s performance through the lens of metrics. Know what is relevant and how to track them, and wants to be held responsible for those metrics
  • Design obsession: Passionate about evolving design systems, prototyping, tools and contributing to design team culture
  • Attention to detail: Dotting the i’s and crossing the t’s comes naturally
  • Portfolio and Resume required (Resume required; portfolio upload/link optional)
  • Experience working within a tech startup and/or small, early stage design team (bonus)
  • Experience working on B2B SaaS, Analytics and/or Dashboard tools (bonus)
  • Have worked at places where you were actively a part of the feature launch and experimentation process as a designer (bonus)
