About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Own the engineering strategy and delivery for Statista’s Acquisition & Registration domain
- Lead, coach, and develop a cross-functional engineering team of frontend, backend, and QA engineers
- Partner closely with Product Management to deliver the product roadmap
- Shape and evolve the technical architecture across acquisition and registration services
- Drive the adoption of AI-native engineering practices
- Stay hands-on with technology by contributing to coding, architecture, and technical decision-making
Requirements
What you’ll need- 10+ years of software engineering experience in cloud-native environments, including experience leading and developing engineering teams
- Strong expertise in React, TypeScript, AWS, GitHub Actions, Datadog, Unleash, and Jira, with experience working alongside PHP-based legacy systems
- Proven experience designing scalable software architectures and modernizing legacy applications
- Hands-on experience using AI-powered engineering tools and agentic development practices to improve software delivery
- Strong stakeholder management, coaching, and cross-functional collaboration skills, with the ability to balance business priorities and technical decisions
- Excellent written and spoken English
