About the role

Key responsibilities & impact

Design and implement Statista's global procurement strategy with a focus on achieving cost savings in software and maintaining high agility
Implement automation for evaluating and servicing software needs
Further develop the procurement organization, including procurement processes, tools and policies, in close coordination with adjacent internal departments such as Finance
Closely coordinate with business units to manage software and license acquisitions
Plan and manage software costs in close cooperation with Controlling and software owners within the business units
Select, evaluate and manage suitable service providers, and conduct price and contract negotiations
Lead and develop the team

Requirements

What you’ll need

5–10 years of experience in strategic procurement, ideally in software & licenses, within medium-sized companies in tech-heavy industries
Proven negotiation success and assertiveness in reducing software costs
Deep understanding of the procure-to-pay process, especially in SAP environments
Extensive experience negotiating and representing procurement objectives to management and senior business unit leaders
Knowledge of ServiceNow for handling operational procurement requests is advantageous
Strong analytical and conceptual skills
Fluent in German and English (business proficiency)
