About the role
- The Vice President, Operational Risk Capital Analyst, is a key contributor within the Operational Risk Capital, Stress Testing and Scenario Analysis team.
- This team has responsibility for executing the Comprehensive Capital Analysis and Review (CCAR) stress test for the operational risk workstream.
- Executing internal stress testing and capital adequacy programs.
- Producing operational risk capital estimates in support of the Advanced Measurement Approach (AMA).
- Preparing for implementation of the Basel 3 Endgame requirements.
- Owning the models and related scenario analysis methodology that support execution of the operational risk component of the ICAAP/ICARA process globally.
- Interfacing with a diverse group of stakeholders; including senior management, risk and control owners, Business Executives, Audit and regulators to achieve risk measurement and risk management objectives.
Requirements
- Minimum of at least 8 years of experience in financial services; operational risk / Finance focus preferred
- Conceptual thinking skills must be complemented by a strong qualitative orientation
- Impeccable written and oral communication credentials
- Prior exposure to scenario analysis, stress testing, regulatory reporting and operational risk capital
- Demonstrated experience driving consensus between competing opinions and objectives across a diverse group of stakeholders with varying levels of expertise
- Familiarity with SR 15-18 supervisory expectations for capital planning
- Detail oriented with a demonstrated ability to independently manage and prioritize a book of work spanning multiple strategic priorities
- Strategic thinker with a demonstrated ability to distill complex, ambiguous information to create effective solutions and insights for leaders
- Ability to quickly analyze the status quo and identify opportunities for continuous improvement or re-engineering
- Equivalent to a university degree in business, accounting, finance or related field.
- Additional academic degree (e.g., MBA, doctorate) beneficial but not required.
