About the role
- Support the Operational Risk Management (ORM) team in operational incident reviews
- Participate in capital planning, risk appetite monitoring, and key risk indicator monitoring
- Assist in Risk and Control Self-Assessment enhancement, risk measurement, and risk reporting
- Engage in individual and team projects throughout the summer
- Support key deliverables and initiatives within the ORM team
- Attend and participate in learning events related to ERM and State Street
Requirements
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
- Self-starter who is able to work efficiently with minimal supervision
- Ability to work in a dynamic team environment and think clearly under pressure
- Ability to work on multiple projects with a good attention to detail
- Ability to interact with and build relationships with people from various departments and levels of seniority
- Strong quantitative and analytical skills, with the ability to evaluate and form independent judgments
- Experience with data science tools and languages
- Interest in learning about State Street and the banking / financial services industry
- Commitment to excellence
- Solid capabilities with the MS Office suite of tools
