About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Manage and respond to public requests for DCF records under Act 173
- Receive, route, and reply to communications related to Act 173
- Handle internal records requests
- Review records containing child abuse or neglect investigations, injury photographs, intake reports, police reports, medical exams, and traumatic-event narratives
- Communicate with traumatized people making records requests
Requirements
What you’ll need- Associate’s degree or higher in a field related to human services, or two or more years of administrative experience in a human services program
- Candidates must pass any applicable level of background investigation
- Vermont and/or national criminal record checks, DMV checks, and adult and child abuse registry checks may be conducted as appropriate
- Ability to lift boxes weighing 20 to 30 pounds
- Resilience and ability to cope with routine exposure to secondary trauma
- Ability to communicate with traumatized people making records requests
