About the role

  • Join a collaborative team of engineers and scientists reviewing and providing input on projects from planning through permitting.
  • Work closely with internal programs-Operations, Compliance, Capacity Development, and Water Resources-to help communities implement sustainable, resilient drinking water projects in compliance with the Water Supply Rule.
  • Provide technical and regulatory assistance to water systems and their consultants.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree or higher in environmental, sanitary, chemical, water resources, civil or mechanical engineering or a related field AND three (3) or more years of experience in in a related engineering field OR One (1) year or more of experience as an Environmental Engineer V or two (2) years or more as an Environmental Engineer IV.
  • Demonstrated experience and strong understanding of drinking water planning, treatment, and distribution.
  • The ability to critically review engineering drawings, specifications, hydraulic analysis, and preliminary engineering reports with attention to detail.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills, with sound judgment and professional tact.
