About the role
- Oversee Vocational Instructors, including conducting annual evaluations, approving timesheets/leave, and facilitating supervision meetings.
- Mentor new staff, participate in the hiring process, and track professional certifications to ensure compliance.
- Provide orientation and assessment for individuals entering the program.
- Develop vocational plans using assessment data to identify high-priority participants for services.
- Determine quarterly vocational course offerings, develop schedules, and pilot new vocational initiatives.
- Coordinate vocational services with Risk Intervention Services local team.
- Coordinate projects and enrichment events with community partners and the facility.
- Coordinate transition services with stakeholders and community partners.
- Collaborate with coordinators at other sites to ensure continuity of services when individuals are transferred.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree AND two (2) years or more of experience with creating programs and partnerships related to workforce development and training programs, or similar environment.
- OR Associate’s degree AND three (3) years or more of experience with creating programs and partnerships related to workforce development and training programs, or similar environment.
- OR High School diploma or equivalent AND five (5) years or more of experience with creating programs and partnerships related to workforce development and training programs, or similar environment.
- Candidates must pass any level of background investigation applicable to the position.
- Candidates who have any felony conviction record or who, within the past five (5) years, have been placed under supervision or sanctioned for a misdemeanor conviction must receive a waiver from the Commissioner of Corrections in order to be considered for employment.
