About the role
- Implements, manages, and monitors storage, compute, and virtual instances in Azure, AWS, and other cloud platforms.
- Provisions, sizes, monitors, and adjusts resources as needed in cloud environments such as Azure and AWS.
- Creates, updates, and runs scripts to automate processes across both cloud and on-premises systems.
- Administers users, groups, and services within cloud platforms (e.g., Azure, AWS) and Microsoft M365.
- Provides Windows and/or Linux system administration and support for users, systems, and services.
- Delivers customer service and responds to user inquiries regarding software, hardware, systems, and applications; may assist in the design, development, and maintenance of systems and software.
- Prepares reports, briefings, and evaluations on system efficiency and utilization; develops and enforces security controls; creates procedures, documentation, and training materials; conducts presentations.
- Monitors and manages daily server and application operations, ensuring SLA compliance and supporting policy and procedure development, scheduled tasks, and special projects.
- Administers user accounts, access controls, and file sharing on cloud resources and servers; provides hardware and software support.
- Collaborates with cross-functional teams on system implementations, upgrades, and migrations.
- Participates in testing and validation of the Disaster Recovery Plan (DRP) and Business Continuity Plan (BCP); provides input and feedback on DRP/BCP activities.
- Assists in developing and maintaining technical documentation, procedures, and processes.
- Reviews and makes recommendations related to IT equipment procurement.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree from an accredited college or university (or U.S. equivalent) in computer science, computer information systems, management information systems, business administration, public administration, or a related field
- Three (3) years of experience in systems management, support, managed services, technical support, design, or architecture consulting—including one (1) year administering cloud platforms such as Azure or AWS
- Public Cloud Provider Administration (Azure/AWS)
- Scripting
- M365
- Windows Server and/or Linux RedHat Administration
- SSL Certs
- Vulnerability assessment and remediation.
- Effective customer service skills
- Excellent written and oral communication skills
