About the role

Key responsibilities & impact

Utilize your accounting and auditing skills to audit county governments and other political entities.
Flexibility with travel and overnight arrangements is essential as travel to audit sites will be required, with overnight stays possible for some audits.
Selected applicant will not be able to perform auditing work within the same county they reside.

Requirements

What you’ll need

A bachelor’s degree in accounting, or other business-related field, or a minimum of two years’ experience in an accounting and/or audit environment is necessary.
Knowledge of generally accepted accounting principles.
Knowledge of generally accepted auditing standards.
Knowledge of Government Auditing Standards.
Must possess strong verbal and written communication skills.
Must have the ability and desire to work as part of a team.
Proficiency in Excel and Word.
Valid driver’s license.
Preference given to applicants who demonstrate strong critical thinking skills.
Strong communication and time management skills.
Ability to build effective working relationships.
Strong interest in continued professional development.
