About the role
- Conduct an annual risk assessment to develop a risk-based audit plan
- Prioritize assurance and advisory engagements
- Evaluate the agency's systems of internal control and compliance with policies, procedures, regulations, and laws
- Establish a quality assurance improvement program for internal audit processes
- Conduct all phases of the engagement under limited supervision
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in accounting or a discipline related to a program area within the agency
- Three (3) years of audit experience including two years of internal audit experience
- Certification/licensure as a certified internal auditor, certified fraud examiner, certified information system auditor, or certified public accountant with an audit focus
- Equivalent combination of education and experience may also qualify
