About the role

  • The Grants Administrator II manages all aspects of grant funding for the North Carolina Center for Safer Schools (CFSS)
  • Assist the executive director in the division’s grant initiatives
  • Researching and locating sources of funding
  • Collaborating with partners to develop grant applications for programs
  • Managing grant reporting requirements
  • Spend 25% of time traveling across the state to support compliance duties

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in accounting, finance, business administration, public administration, or a related discipline from an accredited institution
  • 1 year of directly related experience; OR an equivalent combination of education and experience
  • Demonstrated experience in financial management (e.g. creating budgets)
  • Demonstrated experience in federal and/or state and/or local government in grant monitoring and/or budgeting
  • Demonstrated experience developing and/or delivering formal presentations and/or trainings
  • Demonstrated experience in grant writing and/or report submission
