About the role
- Provide necessary certified support to Behavioral Health missions in facilities statewide.
- Assist in managing offender movement within and across facility areas to optimize the functionality and accessibility of treatment programs and services.
- Facilitate the delivery of behavioral health services.
- Ensure adherence to individualized treatment plans.
- Motivate offenders to actively participate and progress toward their treatment goals.
- Provide operational coordination and supervision of offenders during specialized treatment activities.
- Monitor offender progress toward intervention goals.
Requirements
- Associate’s degree in Criminal Justice, Human Services, Recreation or a related field from an appropriately accredited institution; or High school or General Educational Development (GED) diploma and two years of custody experience within the North Carolina Department of Public Safety; or an equivalent combination of training and experience.
- Must be eligible for certification by the North Carolina Criminal Justice Education & Training Standards Commission.
