About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Perform routine clerical and administrative duties
- Enter and set up hearing requests in FLORIDA and/or the office case management system
- Draft, prepare, and distribute notices, correspondence, meeting notes, and reports
- Organize, maintain, file, locate, and attach paper and electronic records
- Process and manage email correspondence throughout the day
- Review and route incoming and outgoing mail
- Update the case management system
- Convert and upload documents so Hearing Officers have current case information
- Record Petitioner and Respondent contacts in the case management system
- Close cases in the system
- Answer routine correspondence
- Compile and maintain lists and records
- Perform other related duties as assigned
Requirements
What you’ll need- High school diploma or equivalent experience in public assistance programs
- Experience making eligibility determinations for applicants of public assistance
- Experience utilizing the ACCESS FLORIDA system preferred
- Candidate Profile must be completed in its entirety
- Include supervisor names and phone numbers for all periods of employment
- Account for and explain any gaps in employment
- Experience, education, training, knowledge, skills, abilities, and pre-qualifying-question responses must be verifiable
- U.S. citizenship or lawful authorization to work in the United States
- Successful State and National criminal history/background screening before employment
- Fingerprinting for Florida Department of Law Enforcement and FBI criminal records checks
- Male candidates born on or after October 1, 1962, must be registered with Selective Service or have a Letter of Registration Exemption
- Enrollment in the State of Florida Direct Deposit Program within the first 30 calendar days
- Compliance with applicable laws, rules, regulations, policies, and state and federal procedures
