About the role

Key responsibilities & impact
  • Deliver engaging, high-impact training sessions for employees and adult learners
  • Apply adult learning principles through learner-focused instruction
  • Use guides, job aids, presentations, multimedia, and other training tools
  • Review and enhance training content with subject matter experts
  • Use data and research to improve programs and identify learning opportunities
  • Plan, schedule, coordinate, and deliver Central Office training and statewide training meetings
  • Maintain Organizational Development programs including Mentorship and New Employee Orientation
  • Collaborate with districts, Turnpike staff, stakeholders, provider offices, adjunct teams, and outsourced training teams
  • Monitor and assess curricula for accuracy, relevance, and usefulness
  • Support annual and monthly training plans for Central Office and State Materials Office
  • Enter and update training sessions, advertisements, registrations, and completions in the Learning Management System
  • Evaluate training experiences using survey tools
  • Maintain Training Staff and Unit Training Coordinator listings
  • Coordinate training resources, room reservations, supplies, and session support
  • Assist with reviews and implementation of policies, procedures, manuals, operational guidelines, and programs
  • Provide support to the Supervisor of CO Programs with training management tasks

Requirements

What you’ll need
  • Five years of professional or nonprofessional experience in instruction, instructional design, public speaking, program research and planning, or organizational or staff development
  • A bachelor's degree from an accredited college or university can substitute for four years of required experience
  • Knowledge of adult learning theories and instructional design
  • Knowledge of supervision, management, and leadership theories and practices
  • Knowledge of quality management, assessment, and analytical processes
  • Knowledge of learning management systems and applications
  • Knowledge of data collection and analysis methods
  • Critical thinking and strong analytical skills
  • Effective verbal and written communication
  • Research, data compilation, analysis, and reporting skills
  • Accurate record maintenance
  • Microsoft 365 applications, including Word, Excel, PowerPoint, SharePoint, and Teams
  • Event and program planning and coordination
  • Presentation, consultation, and training program delivery
  • Auditing activities including surveys, investigations, and quality assurance reviews
  • Troubleshooting hardware and communication problems within local area networks
  • Ability to translate technical information into presentation media
  • Ability to facilitate and coordinate meetings, workshops, and conferences
  • Ability to conduct training in in-person and virtual settings
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team
  • Ability to plan, organize, and manage complex work assignments
  • Travel up to 50% may be required
  • U.S. citizenship or lawful authorization to work in the United States required; visa sponsorship unavailable
  • Social Security Number required for verifications
