About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Represents the Agency in litigation in various forums to include state trial and appellate courts, federal trial and appellate courts, and state and federal administrative forums.
- Performs a variety of complicated legal services.
- Provides legal advice and guidance on complex Agency issues.
- Conducts legal research, interprets statutes, reviews regulations, rules, and operating procedures as necessary in carrying out duties and responsibilities.
- Works with Agency personnel in developing legislation, reviewing proposed legislation, implementing new legislation, and reviewing existing statutes for proposing any needed legislation.
Requirements
What you’ll need- Must have a valid Driver's License or other efficient means of transportation to travel for work purposes.
- Knowledge of principles and techniques of effective verbal and written communication.
- Ability to prepare correspondence and administrative reports.
- Ability to understand and apply applicable rules, regulations, policies and procedures.
