About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Perform advanced technical work in mobile remote sensing and UAS operations.
- Collect and process geospatial data, and produce photogrammetric and topographic products.
- Manage the department’s drone fleet and support stakeholder requests for geospatial data.
- Conduct mission planning, risk assessment, and flight operations.
- Ensure geospatial data meets relevant accuracy and quality standards.
- Assist with training department personnel and stakeholders in geospatial data management.
Requirements
What you’ll need- High School diploma or equivalent
- 3 years experience or equivalent post secondary education, in geospatial technology
- Possess an active FAA Part 107 pilot certification (Certified Remote Pilot under rule 107) OR obtain and maintain an active FAA Part 107 pilot certification (Certified Remote Pilot under rule 107) within 6 months.
- Knowledge of surveying, mapping, and geospatial science
- Skills in geospatial data processing, mobile remote sensing processing, photogrammetric compilation.
- Ability to communicate technical information clearly, prepare high-quality reports, and train others.
