About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Acts as an arbitrator for the Florida Division of Condominiums, Timeshares and Mobile Homes.
- Arbitrates various condominium, cooperative and homeowners association disputes.
- Researches/drafts/reviews/amends pleadings, complaints, motions, dismissal orders, consent orders, settlement agreements and memoranda of law.
- Coordinates with Chief Arbitrator and peers to ensure uniformity in decision making.
- Responds to consumer and industry inquiries.
Requirements
What you’ll need- Must have a valid driver's license.
- Must be a member of The Florida Bar.
- Minimum of two years experience in the practice of law, legal research, legal writing, teaching law or in administrative or judicial proceedings.
- Preference for knowledge of Chapter 718, 719 and 720, Florida Statutes, and/or familiarity with arbitration and mediation techniques and procedures.
