About the role

  • Assist in development, coordination, and implementation of programs relating to Medicaid Hospital DPP, DSH, and LIP programs
  • Prepare Hospital DPP, DSH, and LIP payment requests and produce payment models
  • Prepare ad-hoc reports from Public Records and Legislative requests
  • Produce Hospital DPP, DSH, LIP, and Threshold models for Legislative Planning
  • Coordinate with outside vendors and CMS on audit requests and annual reconciliations
  • Prepare and distribute Hospital DPP models and analyses of other supplemental payment programs
  • Maintain current and archive versions of Hospital DPP, DSH, and LIP audits and analyses
  • Interpret State and Federal statutes to determine provider eligibility for supplemental payment programs
  • Coordinate data transfers between Florida managed care plans and AHCA for model development and reconciliations
  • Act as agency contract manager for assigned Medicaid contracts, including procurement participation, oversight of administrative/programmatic/financial operations, enforcing contract terms, vendor performance monitoring, and maintaining contract files
  • Implement agency policies and procedures and assist state and federal auditors in examinations
  • Maintain up-to-date knowledge of Florida Medicaid Program statutes, State Plan, administrative rules, program manuals, and provide technical assistance to Supplemental Payments Unit
  • Perform other duties and ad hoc requests as assigned

Requirements

  • Knowledge of Microsoft Windows, MS Word, and Advanced MS Excel (Pivot tables, VLOOKUP/XLOOKUP, Index/Match, formatting)
  • Knowledge of organizational planning, coordination, and execution
  • Working knowledge of accounting practices and statistics
  • Ability to analyze needs and product requirements
  • Ability to create process flows/workflows for automated and manual business systems
  • Ability to conduct fact-finding research and communicate technical concepts effectively
  • Ability to organize data into logical formats for reports and presentations
  • Ability to multi-task and work in a fast-paced environment
  • Two years of experience related to mathematics, analytical thinking, and/or project management (minimum)
  • Two years of experience using Microsoft Excel and Word (minimum)
  • Two years of experience writing official documents with state and federal requirements (minimum)
  • Two years of experience interpreting, analyzing, and implementing state and federal language (minimum)
  • Preference for experience managing a contract
  • Preference for a bachelor’s degree or more advanced degree in economics, mathematics, statistics, health care administration, or project management
  • Preference for Florida Certified Contract Manager's certification
  • Must successfully complete State and National criminal history check and background screening before employment
