About the role

Key responsibilities & impact
  • Manage daily referrals, intakes, placements, and discharges
  • Arrange assessments, staffing’s, and parent-child medical training
  • Ensure compliance with program standards, policies, and foster care records
  • Lead annual program reviews and implement corrective action plans
  • Provide ongoing training and educational opportunities for program staff
  • Support medical foster parents with Medicaid regulations, respite care, and community resources
  • Partner with the Department of Children and Families to coordinate placements and transitions
  • Recruit, train, and evaluate medical foster parents; oversee approvals and renewals
  • Serve as liaison with community agencies and healthcare professionals
  • Maintain accurate records for each child and parent
  • Drive quality assurance initiatives and monitor program performance
  • Prepare reports and manage program data.

Requirements

What you’ll need
  • Valid Driver’s License
  • Preference will be given to applicants with a bachelor’s degree or higher in the social services or related field preferred
  • Experience with PowerPoint, and Excel
  • Working knowledge of Florida Medicaid as it applies to children and youth, and Department of Children and Families as it relates to foster care
  • Experience in the use of technology, electronic health records including computer systems/applications (e.g. Microsoft Office: Word, Excel, Outlook, Teams)
  • Working knowledge of medical terminology as it relates to medical conditions, diagnosis and treatment plans
  • 1-3 years of professional pediatric social work experience
