About the role

Key responsibilities & impact

Provide support for end-users of multifunction automated office systems within Florida Department of Health Department (FDOH) LAN and WAN network
Responsible for coordinating work and assisting other employees
Receives end-users help desk ticket requests and determines appropriate solutions and resolves problems within the allotted time
Provides feedback to Information Technology staff and End-users within a status report on the help request via e-mail and/or verbal communication
Configure, deliver and install Distributed Computer Systems and equipment at the end-users site according to FDOH standard configuration and/or end-user specifications
Install vendor software and hardware patches and upgrades to the agency’s Distributed Computer Systems
Provides support for FDOH network operating systems
Maintains an accurate inventory of agency distributed computer systems hardware and software and ensures licensing compliance
Develops and writes procedures for installation, use and solving problems of computer systems and data communications hardware and software

Requirements

What you’ll need

Valid Driver’s License
Ability to lift and carry up to 45 pounds at any given time
Knowledge, skills and abilities to proficiently use Microsoft Mail, Word, Excel and Outlook Mail, etc.
Knowledge using computers running MS Windows Operating Systems and diagnosing, troubleshooting, configuration, installation, and maintenance of all computer equipment
Knowledge of distributed processing operations, procedures, and equipment
Knowledge of problem solving techniques
Knowledge of computers and software
Knowledge of the principles, practices and techniques of computer programming and/or computer systems analysis
