About the role

Key responsibilities & impact
  • Prints the Journal Transfers (JT) report daily and reviews the report for JT received from other state agencies
  • Records the JT within 3 days of receipt
  • Responsible for printing the debit memo report from PALM daily and recording the debit memos in Departmental FLAIR to reconcile to Central FLAIR
  • Responsible for recording remote deposits made by all the division throughout the state
  • Records the receipt of funds for the Forestry perquisites every two weeks
  • Responsible for the establishment of accounts receivables in FLAIR for invoices from the various divisions and the customer number associated with receivables
  • Assists in the opening and organizing of the daily mail
  • Helps scan and send out checks that require additional documentation to the divisions
  • Prepares return letters for checks that are being sent back to customers
  • Responsible for printing and distributing treasury receipts
  • Performs other related duties as required or assigned

Requirements

What you’ll need
  • A high school diploma or its equivalent and three (3) years of professional or nonprofessional accounting experience
  • A bachelor's degree (4 years) from an accredited college or university with a major in accounting, finance or business administration
  • All fields in the Candidate Profile must be completed
