About the role
- Handle day-to-day confidential administrative duties for the field office related to monthly expenditures, personnel activities, and inventory of equipment and supplies.
- Process and distribute incoming and outgoing mail.
- Complete travel authorization requests.
- Order supplies via MyFloridaMarketPlace.
- Complete Human Resources Personnel Liaison duties.
- Maintain an inventory of supplies and equipment.
- Perform other related duties as assigned.
- Serve as point of contact within the Bureau of Medicaid Recipient and Provider Assistance for providers, recipients, and community members.
- Report to the Agency for Health Care Administration Orlando Medicaid Office; work hours Monday - Friday 8:00 AM - 5:00 PM.
- Travel as required (1-25%).
- This position is not a remote or telework position.
Requirements
- Two years of professional experience in administrative work, professional regulation, consumer complaint program work, interviewing, business administration, customer or public relations, or investigations.
- Moderate experience and abilities using different computer programs such as Excel, Outlook, and Word, etc., including quick and accurate typing/keyboarding skills. (preferred)
- Ability to communicate effectively, verbally and in writing.
- Ability to determine work priorities, assign work and ensure proper completion of work assignments within established timeframes.
- Knowledge of, or ability to learn, Contact Center policies and procedures.
- Ability to maintain composure and act in a professional manner when interacting with distressed and/or angry individuals.
- Ability to maintain strict confidentiality of all personnel, performance, disciplinary and related matters.
- Ability to solve problems and make decisions in a timely manner.
- Ability to work independently.
- Knowledge of structure and content of the English language including the meaning and spelling of words, rules of composition, and grammar.
- Skill in establishing and maintaining effective working relationships with others.
- Skill in managing and organizing multiple work tasks simultaneously while maintaining a satisfactory work product and meeting all required deadlines.
- Skill in reviewing, correcting and synopsizing written grammar.
- Skill in understanding and applying applicable Medicaid rules, regulations, policies and procedures.
- Skill in utilizing different types of technologies to find/access information, including (but not limited to); basic Computer Software Programs, web-based resources and supporting tools.
- Skill in utilizing Microsoft Office Suite.
- Skill to accurately complete detailed forms, web-entries and documents, with no mistakes, typos or miscalculations.
- Ability to travel with or without accommodations (1-25%).
- Must successfully complete State and National criminal history check (background screening) as a condition of employment.
