About the role

Key responsibilities & impact

Manage daily referrals, intakes, placements, and discharges
Arrange assessments, staffing’s, and parent-child medical training
Ensure compliance with program standards, policies, and foster care records
Lead annual program reviews and implement corrective action plans
Provide ongoing training and educational opportunities for program staff
Support medical foster parents with Medicaid regulations, respite care, and community resources
Partner with the Department of Children and Families to coordinate placements and transitions
Recruit, train, and evaluate medical foster parents; oversee approvals and renewals
Serve as liaison with community agencies and healthcare professionals
Maintain accurate records for each child and parent
Drive quality assurance initiatives and monitor program performance
Prepare reports and manage program data.

Requirements

What you’ll need

Minimum: Valid Driver’s License
Preferred: A Bachelor’s degree or higher in the social services or related field preferred
1-3 Years of Child welfare experience and medical setting experience
Working knowledge of Florida Medicaid as it applies to children and youth, and Department of Children and Families as it relates to foster care
Experience in the use of technology, electronic health records including computer systems/applications (e.g. Microsoft Office: Word, Excel, Outlook, Teams)
Working knowledge of medical terminology as it relates to medical conditions, diagnosis and treatment plans.
