About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Manage daily referrals, intakes, placements, and discharges
- Arrange assessments, staffing’s, and parent-child medical training
- Ensure compliance with program standards, policies, and foster care records
- Lead annual program reviews and implement corrective action plans
- Provide ongoing training and educational opportunities for program staff
- Support medical foster parents with Medicaid regulations, respite care, and community resources
- Partner with the Department of Children and Families to coordinate placements and transitions
- Recruit, train, and evaluate medical foster parents; oversee approvals and renewals
- Serve as liaison with community agencies and healthcare professionals
- Maintain accurate records for each child and parent
- Drive quality assurance initiatives and monitor program performance
- Prepare reports and manage program data.
Requirements
What you’ll need- Minimum: Valid Driver’s License
- Preferred: A Bachelor’s degree or higher in the social services or related field preferred
- 1-3 Years of Child welfare experience and medical setting experience
- Working knowledge of Florida Medicaid as it applies to children and youth, and Department of Children and Families as it relates to foster care
- Experience in the use of technology, electronic health records including computer systems/applications (e.g. Microsoft Office: Word, Excel, Outlook, Teams)
- Working knowledge of medical terminology as it relates to medical conditions, diagnosis and treatment plans.
