About the role

  • This position is a senior administrative official reporting to the Administrator of the Florida Department of Health in Brevard County.
  • The incumbent exercises independent judgment in the formulation of policies and procedures which have significant impact on the operation of the department.
  • Responsibilities include, but are not limited to, direct supervision of, Budget, General Services & Facilities, Human Resources, Information Technology and Vital Statistics.
  • Responsibilities include the determination of fiscal and operational needs, the management of certain contracts, the monitoring of compliance with prescribed laws and other regulations, CHD administrative review, approval and certain designated signature authorities.

Requirements

  • 5 years’ experience in finance, accounting and budgeting.
  • 5 years’ experience as a supervisor.
  • A master’s degree in business, finance or accounting preferred.
  • Experience preparing reports and statistical data for presentation.
  • Experience with the financial reporting systems used by the Department of Health in the State of Florida.
