About the role
- Recruiting new AmeriCorps members.
- Supporting members in volunteer recruitment.
- Assisting with various program operations.
- Conduct outreach at events and community locations throughout the year.
- Build and maintain positive relationships with community stakeholders.
- Deliver training to AmeriCorps members on DEP branding policies and outreach best practices.
- Attend career fairs and recruitment events to promote FLCC opportunities.
- Develop and implement engaging outreach strategies.
- Track and monitor member activities related to outreach, interpretation, and events.
- Ensure all outreach materials comply with DEP branding and interpretation standards.
Requirements
- Valid driver’s license.
- Knowledge of Florida’s natural and cultural resources.
- Computer operations, including proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook) and Adobe Acrobat.
- Principles of customer service and public relations.
- Interpretation training (CIG or equivalent) (Preferred).
- Graphic Design training (Preferred).
- Leadership training (Preferred).
