About the role

  • Recruiting new AmeriCorps members.
  • Supporting members in volunteer recruitment.
  • Assisting with various program operations.
  • Conduct outreach at events and community locations throughout the year.
  • Build and maintain positive relationships with community stakeholders.
  • Deliver training to AmeriCorps members on DEP branding policies and outreach best practices.
  • Attend career fairs and recruitment events to promote FLCC opportunities.
  • Develop and implement engaging outreach strategies.
  • Track and monitor member activities related to outreach, interpretation, and events.
  • Ensure all outreach materials comply with DEP branding and interpretation standards.

Requirements

  • Valid driver’s license.
  • Knowledge of Florida’s natural and cultural resources.
  • Computer operations, including proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook) and Adobe Acrobat.
  • Principles of customer service and public relations.
  • Interpretation training (CIG or equivalent) (Preferred).
  • Graphic Design training (Preferred).
  • Leadership training (Preferred).
